I call this project “Let’s See How Many Ridiculous Nesting Projects Jen Can Complete In One Pregnancy.”
I bought these blank clothing dividers from an online supply store (google search: clothing dividers) for $0.29 each and decided that they needed a little cutesy infused into them. So I created a template, found some adorable backgrounds via Google images, and tweaked them in Photoshop, customizing them in our yellow & grey nursery color scheme. Then I printed them out on white, full-sheet labels, cut them out, and stuck them on.
Voila! Cute closet organization!

This is such an adorable idea – I want to do it! How long did it take you to make ’em?
Jen says
just a few hours… most of the time spent was just on designing them in Photoshop, but actually cutting them out and assembling them was a breeze! Good luck!
Tonya says
LOVE this. Might try and use it for my next baby gift.

I've been looking for a how to on making these forever! Thank you so much. My son's teacher is due in January and these will make a great present for her. How did you figure out how to accomodate the gap in the middle of the divider? Good Luck to you!
Jen says
Eva,
I just designed the template as a complete circle, and then cut it out and stuck it on. Once it was on the plastic ring, I cut a slit where the gap was and then just trimmed it.
Good luck!

Is there anyway you could share your photoshop template with us? I am currently nestng too and would love to make these!

Where did you find the closet organizers for .29? I've hunted and can't find them cheaper than 0.49 each. Thanks!!
Jen says
Jenny,
I can't remember which website it was, but I remember it was like a supply warehouse store or something. I did find this link (though I didn't get mine from here) where they sell it for $.25 each:

Good luck!

Hi! I came looking for the downloadable template…am I looking in the wrong place?
Nicole says
Do you have the template to download? That would be SWEET!
Jen says
Sadly, no. My hard drive crashed and the template file was lost. Grrr! I'm sorry!
Adrienne says
I bought the dividers only for 29 cents each! Now I'm trying to figure out how to design them because I don't know how to do photoshop… Please let me know if anybody has created a new template for these!!
Chastity says
I found your templet on another blog while doing a few searches. I have only been able to open it in photoshop though.

I bet you could use a program like Print Artist to design the template.
Larry E Collins says
Why not use CD/DVD labels? They are precut and come with their own temple. Memorex and Avery both make them. You can also get an installation base to use to make sure they are centered. Better yet, use old or blank CDs for their project. You would just need to cut the slit with a jig saw.
Jen says
The blank CDs idea is genius! I don’t think the CD labels would work on these clothing dividers – I think the clothing dividers are smaller than a CD. But if you were to use an actual CD, then that would work beautifully!
