If you’d like to get your feet wet in building furniture, this dining table is the perfect beginner-level project. I love this!! What color stain did you use? And do you think it would be stable enough if I made it a little longer to accommodate 3 chairs on each side?
Thanks Sarah! For the stain, I created a custom color by mixing weathered oak and special walnut. Experiment on a scrap piece of wood until you get the desired shade/tone. As for modifying the length, as long as you add enough center supports, the added length should be fine. Hope that helps!

You built a really beautiful table. so talented! What type of product do you use to seal the wood and make it shine?
Thanks so much Stephanie! I use a variety of top coats depending on the project needs. For this farmhouse table, I used a wipe-on poly in a semi-gloss sheen.
