I’m a novice seamstress, at best (I didn’t even know how to thread the needle on the sewing machine until just a few days ago), so I was thrilled how my very first sewing project turned out. I bought this cute little owl pillow pattern from Ginia18’s Shop on Etsy and it included photos and easy, step-by-step instructions. So if I can do it, anyone can! How cute will this be in the nursery?

So cute! But after seeing this, I’m inclined to believe that you’re a little more than a novice… 🙂

No way! This was my very first sewing attempt… EVER! So if I can do it, anyone can!

I love the owl. Coincidentally, I just bought an owl like this http://www.etsy.com/listing/53921338/owl-bookendamy-butler-fabric from AprilFoss on Etsy for my son's room and I'm now attempting to try to make a pattern from it so I can make one for my sister's baby's room. I think they're adorable!
I found your blog today through YHL and love it. Hello!

Hey Jen;
I went to the like that you had posted to purchase the owl pattern but there was only an owl pillow. It wasn't the same shape as the one you had but I could not locate the owl from your blog. Let me know if you know where I can get this pattern.
Thanks
Melinda

Here's the link… the girl sells the pattern, not the actual pillow:
http://www.etsy.com/listing/54678226/lola-the-owl-pillow-pdf-pattern-simple?ref=sr_gallery_8&ga_search_query=owl+pillow&ga_search_type=handmade&ga_page=&order=&includes%5B0%5D=tags&includes%5B1%5D=title
If that link doesn't work, go to Etsy and search for "owl pillow pattern" – the Etsy shop name is "ginia18"
Good luck!
