It’s funny how this pregnancy differs from the last one in so many ways. I feel great most of the time, but there are days when I don’t have the energy to get off the couch. When I was pregnant with Evie, I remember being high-energy, productive, and invigorated up until the last two weeks of being full-term. I remember thinking, ‘I’ve never felt better in my entire life!’ This time around, there are days like that, and there are days when the most productive thing I’ve done all day is brush my teeth. They say carrying a boy takes 10% more out of you… maybe Eggroll #2 has taken that to heart!
I also find it strange how I’d gained 17 pounds at 25 weeks with Evie, and with this pregnancy, I’ve only gained 10 pounds so far, yet I look bigger (and lower, and ‘pointier’)! I asked my doctor about it and she said not to worry; I should start gaining more from this point on.
Eggroll #2 has been moving and shaking everyday and I’d forgotten how much of a thrill it was feeling him roll around inside my belly. Despite the few, very minor complaints, I’m feeling very blessed to be able to experience such wonderful pregnancies thus far. Life is good and God is great.
