JenWoodhouse.com Plan Used: Desk
About the Project:
I used walnut and mahogany, the desk came out good but I would recommend maker the legs thicker than 1.5”. I would reccoment 2”. Another problem I had with the plan sheet was that the legs are not tall enough. Before you make this please measure your previosue desk and match it to size with this. It also wouldn’t hurt for the desk to be a few inches wider. Overall it came out beautiful, instead of doing the mortises for the sides in the left I chose to do them in the middle and k bieleve it gave it a more uniform look. The plan sheet is not very thorough and you will need to do some self thinking but if you have a decent comprehension of carpentry and the available tools it will be easy and come out nice.
