Adam and I won’t be able to buy a house until the end of the year (at the earliest), because we’ll be stationed at Ft. Lee, VA for the next 7 months while he completes his Captain’s Career Course. Only after he graduates, and we get assigned a permanent duty station (and who knows where that will be?), will we be able to entertain the idea of finally being homeowners. Needless to say, we won’t be doing any painting or renovating in a rental. Good thing there are temporary solutions out there, like New York-based Tempaper Designs and Sherwin Williams Easy Change Wallpapers. Aren’t these fun?

I didn't even know this stuff existed! I've been considering wall decals or stencils or something for our guest room, and will have to keep this option in mind.

I have a DIY book from my "friendly neighborhood Lowes" that is specifically for temporary living (apt., etc.). Anyway, they have a similar idea, except with fabric (my mom did this when she and my father made thier first move (of many) in the Air Force). Spray the wall with non-aerosol starch. Stick the fabric up (spray and tack the top, then keep going down while smoothing bubbles) and when the wall is dry, pull the tacks. Everything sticks until you pull it down when you move. Wipe the walls, and you are done!
I plan on doing this when I get to a place with a decent fabric shop at our next station (my hubs is in the Army too).
Good luck!

Hi! I don’t suppose you know what the name/pattern number of the last image you’re showing is? The brown on tan?
