Hi friends! I’m so excited to share a brand new project with you and even more excited that I got to work with the amazing Anika from Anika’s DIY Life again! You might remember her from this gorgeous console table or this incredible reclaimed wood buffet. She’s back with another DIY project that will knock your socks off: this DIY Angled Trestle Dining Table. Of course, we’ve got you covered with the full tutorial and free plans down below!
Anika wanted a unique and beautiful dining table for her space and this is what we came up with. Don’t be fooled by that thick slab of a tabletop – it’s actually made of 3/4-inch thick material that’s been “wrapped” with a wider board. But look closely – you won’t see any edge grain!
Anika will show you how she achieved this seamless tabletop with some precise mitered and beveled cuts. But don’t be intimidated – this was Anika’s first time attempting this technique; she did an incredible job and the result is absolutely stunning!
Be sure to check out Anika’s tutorial and grab the plans by clicking the gray button below. If you build this beautiful DIY angled trestle dining table, we’d love to see it! Post a photo on social media and tag us @jenwoodhouse @anikasdiylife for a chance to be featured!
Thanks for reading and happy building!

Oh Anika, you always make me happy. I love that table and since I can’t make the babies their little table I will see about our grownup table.

It looks great, and I want to use this technique. But one question: what about expansion of the wood? How will the wrapping hold up if the humidity changes?
