Hi friends, I’m back to share the plans for the benches we built at The Home Depot Foundation’s Celebration of Service Kickoff Event. That’s a mouthful, right? If you don’t know what I’m talking about, I go into great detail about my involvement with The Home Depot Foundation here.
It was such a fun day of building things and these benches are SUPER EASY to build. You only need a drill and saw – no fancy tools required! These DIY benches were for outdoor use so we used pressure-treated lumber and Trex (manufactured deck material).
Want to get involved with volunteering with Team Depot? The Home Depot Foundation would love to have you! Visit CelebrationofService.com for more info and #choosetoserve.

Thanks, Jen. I can learn from you how to build a bench by myself, now I have no woodworking skills but I think I can do it in some days. Your DIY inspired me a lot when I have a strong passion for home decorating.

This concept inspired me a lot. I’m an interior architecturer and looking for some classical design ideas. If you have more, please share with me.

This a great design and I was excited to make something called “the easiest “. However, the lack of detailed instructions makes it way more complicated for a novice. Including specifics on what pieces to cut from each board as well as how to actually screw it together would have made the project easier.
